Introduction

As someone who is passionate about the social media marketing field, it is where I envision myself to be in the near future. I actually became interested in social media through playing MMORPGs, short for massively multiplayer online role-playing games. Several years ago there was a game event that asked for players to help promote the game’s company by posting the company logo on Facebook and Twitter. Participants would be compensated with virtual currency. I didn’t use Facebook or Twitter, but I created accounts on both platforms to take part in the event. Looking back, it was a great move on the part of the gaming company to ask players to advertise on its behalf. The event provided me with a great start into the world of social media.

I currently run a blog to promote online courses, artwork, community news, and other events. The promotions are being done for free. My blog updates are shared on Google+, Twitter, and Facebook to boost readership. I do this to boost my social media experience and because I want to help people get exposure for their businesses. My goal is to work for a fun, forward-moving company and assist them with their social media channels.
